Violation Description: Miss C says the Care Provider failed to have in place appropriate procedures for dealing with the outbreak of an infection which put her grandmother in serious danger and ultimately led to her death. Public Health England found the Care Provider's infection control procedures deficient and Miss C is left not knowing what caused her grandmother to become infected and whether poor infection control procedures contributed to that. An apology, payment to Miss C and revised infection control procedures are satisfactory remedy for the injustice caused.
