Violation Description: Mrs X complains about the care provided to Mr X during his two month stay for respite. She says the Care Provider did not change his catheter, provide exercise as planned or clean his teeth. The Ombudsman finds the Care Provider caused an increased risk of harm to Mr X and significant stress to Mrs X. He recommended it reimburse a total of £4,992 to Mr and Mrs X to remedy the injustice it caused and take action to prevent similar problems in future. It has agreed to do this.
